Tretinoin Review

While there are various options, Tretinoin is one of the most popular. It is a prescription medication, and it is based on a form of vitamin A that increases skin cell turnover over time. It generally takes about 6-9 weeks to show effective results. Obviously, there is no full ingredients list as it is a prescription. But there are certainly side effects such as redness, itching, peeling, increased sensitivity to the sun, burning, etc. Some of these side effects have been so severe that users have stopped after only 2 days. Many who continue longer however still fail to see results.

There are quite a few downsides to Tretinoin and not a lot of benefits. It is known under various different names such as Retin-A and Renova. However, no matter the name or the connected manufacturer, we would not recommend using it or thinking of it as the real solution for your acne. There are definitely products that work faster, better, and without side effects.
