He is responsible for the introduction of the top 10 superfoods on the Oprah show, and his collection provides a cleanser, toner, spot treatment, and a moisturizer, trying to one up in a literal sense Proactiv. Their kit however retails for a higher price of $50. It does come from a well known doctor though who seems to have discovered quite a few interesting things. It is largely based on ingredients like green tea, salicylic acid, benzyl peroxide, and aloe vera.

Honestly, we expected better from Dr Perricone and Perricone MD Skincare. We expected a formula that didn’t have to rely in any way on benzyl peroxide and one that would have real acne fighting ingredients outside of those that you will literally find in just about every other acne treatment on the market. It will likely irritate the skin and cause side effects such as redness, irritation, and inflammation.

Overall Impression

Perricone MD Skincare is not exactly what we expected. We expected something revolutionary, something that had new and innovative acne treatments instead of one that relied on the logic everybody else has used for the past 20 years or more. But we were obviously disappointed, because we’ve definitely seen better products, but not products that were much worse.
