Clean & Clear Advantage Review

Clean & Clear Advantage is a popular version of products you will often find in the grocery stores. It is based on salicylic acid as opposed to benzyl peroxide, and it uses a 3 step program including a cleanser, moisturizer, and spot treatment instead of a toner. The whole kit sells for around $20, and it can be found at most general stores. They also claim to have a study showing their product to be more effective than other treatments of its kind and show significant results within the first day.
There are several problems with this. First salicylic acid is extremely common and can only do so much over time, not immediately. Second, they don’t cite their supposed study, because to be honest, it does not exist. And $20 is way too much to pay for what you’re actually getting. You aren’t getting anything out of the ordinary or a product that would always work.
Clean & Clear is not an advantage, it’s an every day product at too high a price and claiming to be something better than what it is. But then again, there are very few acne treatments that don’t do this. The only advantage is that it can be found in grocery stores. But with the ease of shipping from online stores, why bother.
