Aczone is a prescription acne treatment gel that can be applied on a daily basis. They don’t use benzoyl peroxide, instead using 5% dapsone, which has been clinically tested of course as a prescription. This in mind, they claim that it works for mild to moderate acne without side effects, and it’s easy to apply for the average individual. It is also produced by a big conglomerate known as Allergan.

The reality is however that first of all, if you look at their own before and after pictures, you can see that even in 12 weeks, Aczone does not make a big difference in terms of acne fighting power. Likewise, despite what they claim, the simple fact is that it does cause side effects. It may not use benzoyl peroxide. Bu that’s partly because it already causes the same side effects, and it’s partly because when you combine the two, your skin actually turns yellow!

We would not recommend using Aczone. Its results are mild and small at best. They do not show anything to say the least substantial, and there are far better options out there. This is by no means cheap, and while there is a free coupon offered, it is only a small amount, not substantial enough to really see any difference at all. So as you can see, there are various reasons to just choose something else.
