Acne Free Severe Acne Treatment Review
Acne Free Severe is a supposed upgrade from the original Acne Free, which claimed that if you had acne, it could cure it. Acne Free Severe claims that if your acne is so bad that Acne Free couldn’t handle it, then you’re in luck, because Acne Free Severe can. The only problem with this is Acne Free doesn’t work in the first place, not nearly as well as they claim. In addition, they really only make one change to their formula, the addition of retinol. So basically, they use two irritants that will dry out and redden your skin, but only in ineffective amounts, and they do nothing to counteract the side effects or to make them more effective.
Acne Free Severe ingredients include Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5%). Inactive Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Xanthan Gum, Sorbitol, Cetyl Esters, Polyethylene, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone. Corrective Toner: Water, Sd Alcohol 40-B, Glycerin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Distillate, Panthenol, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Guaiazulene, Lactic Acid, Disodium Edta-copper, Benzethonium Chloride. Maximum Strength Repair Lotion: Active Ingredient: Benzoyl Peroxide (10%). Retinol Renewal Complex: Water (Aqua), Phytosterol Unsaponifiables, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Hyaluronic Acid, Peg-8 Dimethicone, Tridecyl Stearate, Retinol, Sea Whip Extract, Bisabolol, Xanthan Gum, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetyl Triethylmonium Dimethicone Peg-8 Succinate, Allyl Methacrylates Crosspolymer, Tridecyl Trimellitate, Ceteareth-20, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Dipentaerythrityl Hexacaprylate/Hexacaprate, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium Edta, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylisothiazolinone, Bht, Bha, Propyl Gallate.
Again, we find that there is really only one difference between Acne Free and Acne Free severe, and it is not a difference that would make the Acne Free Severe formula any more effective than the original. Nor would it make it even comparable to Proactiv in any way, shape, or form. Acne Free is just a lower grade of acne treatment posing as something better, period, end of story.
