Acjuva claims that you can “annihilate your acne in 14 days.” They promise to quickly heal breakouts, prevent future breakouts, and all with no harsh chemicals or side effects such as dried out skin. Like Proactiv, it uses a cleanser, toner, and repair lotion. But they claim to be not the best selling product in America, but the world’s best acne treatment. They are certainly affordable. The problem is that their ingredients are not particularly innovative or cutting edge. Some users it seems see success, but 2 weeks is also longer than we are accustomed to waiting with our best treatments.

Acjuva ingredients include Natural liquid glycerin soap made from saphonified castor oil and olive oil. Vegetable glycerin, Sodium Bicarbonate, Magnesium Silicate, Safflower Oil, Lemon, Redmond Clay, Preservative*, Lemongrass Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Natural color and fragrance. Hydronium 50 (anti-oxidant water), Organic Aloe Vera, Herbal Extract containing: Calendula, Comfrey, White Willow, Green Tea, Licorice Root, Chamomile and Lavender , Preservative*, DMAE, Lavender Oil, Honey, Hyaluronic Acid , Blueberry extract for color, Purified Water, Organic Aloe Vera, Vegetable Glycerin, Herbal Extract containing: Calendula, Comfrey, White Willow, Green Tea, Licorice Root, Chamomile and Lavender, Triethenalomine, Carbomer, Xanthan, Preservative*, Tea Tree Oil, Titanium dioxide, Hyaluronic Acid, DMAE, Lavender Oil, Natural color and fragrance, Diazolidinyl Urea, and Idopropynl Butylcarbamate

Their formula certainly is free of harsh chemicals and irritants, and we will not be the ones saying that you need harsh chemicals to see results. It simply isn’t true. But there are some proven acne fighting ingredients that we would like to see, which are unfortunately missing in this particular formula. They do have some interesting components such as hydronium, but again, not everything we would like to see. Still, this product has certain promise for the future and even for results in some individuals the way it is now.
